As bad as things become sometimes, as much as life tends to throw crap your way, there is always at least one thing that I can safely say comforts me in these instances: I always know that at least I tried my best. The things that hurt the most tend to involve things that I’ve put my heart and soul into. They’re the things that I’ve labored over emotionally and physically, and spent so much effort trying to keep them all going smoothly. They’re the things that I care about the most, the things I love and treasure. When a bad thing happens, when I hurt so badly I can hardly take it, I know that I put my everything into something. I think that in itself is worth celebrating.

Put their egos aside, and let’s all just stop judging others. Since when did humans become God? Plus, what do we get out of it? Should it really make us feel good to belittle others by slapping labels on people? Why does tolerance have to be such an awful thing? Slut, bitch, whore, white trash, awful mother, crazy, weirdo, ditz. Labels hurt. I can’t think of anything positive that comes from passing quick, fast, and harsh judgment on another person. It doesn’t make others feel good, and it fuels discrimination, and in some cases, hate. The bottom line is, no one is entirely perfect. We can pass judgment about others, say that we would never do the things that others have done, but might make a similar or worse mistake somewhere down the road. A great musician (or at least in my opinion) once said “I know i’m not perfect, and i don’t live to be. But before you start pointing fingers, make sure your hands are clean.” As far as I know, no ones hands are entirely clean.

been eternally annoyed by a person. I’m talking for years and years after you’ve lost contact with them. Like they probably don’t even know who you are anymore, but you remember them and you still get so substantially annoyed by them and everything that they do. Its as if you’ve always wanted them to get it, that one reason why you stopped being friends with them. But even to this day, they still don’t get it. In fact they’ve gotten worse. I understand that it’s weird for me to still get so enraged by this person’s continued idocracy. But I only get this way because he embodies every ridiculous, vapid, materialistic, delusional, egotistical, spoiled little high schooler i’ve ever met. So I will wish this high school senior off into the real world with some essential advice…

1) You CAN’T always get what you want. And don’t think New York University will make an exception for you. Shit happens to EVERYONE.

2) NOBODY cares how cool and popular you were in high school. So stop thinking it will get you a job as a multi-million dollar actor/celebrity.

3) No one likes a stuck up bitch. So stop acting like one.

during which i managed to give the baby manakin 30 breaths instead of 15 and soon after dropped it on its head onto a table. I also hit its head onto the corner of the table just a few times afterward while positioning it on my leg and slapping its back to relieve it of the hypothetical object lodged in its airway. Way to learn how to save lives.
